The East Aurora Driving
Society presents our
Spring Presentation Pleasure Drive
Sunday June 8th, 2008
Clarence Center, NY
1:00 PM
Our
spring pleasure-presentation drive this year will be
held in historic Clarence Center. The town of Clarence
is celebrating it's 200th birthday.
We will
be starting at Maple Row Farm, 6879 Salt Rd., Clarence
Ctr., NY
located
on the NE corner of Salt Rd and County Rd.
We will
be on pavement for about 3 miles total, but no manholes
or hills. There is very light traffic in this pastoral
area of the town allowing for Novice drivers to feel
more at ease. The drive will also be thru some nicely
mowed trails wide enough for carriages. A truly serene
and charming set of trails reflective of bygone days
when our parents or grandparents drove to neighbors. No
driving event of this magnitude has been held here for
125 years. Please put it on your calendar to be a part
of this historic event.
Please be ready to drive by 1:00pm.
Also have your up to date Coggins with you.
Upon returning to the parking area and have cared for
our horses, we will enjoy a” Pot Luck Dinner”. Please
bring a dish to pass, a chair, and your own table
service. Those not planning to drive, plan to join us
for our potluck dinner and a relaxing afternoon. Our
dinner will begin about 3:30.
Any beginners or first time pleasure drive whips who
would like more information about what to expect, please
feel free to call us. We’ll be happy to help and answer
any questions.
A
non-membership fee of $2.00 per person will be required
for those participating in the pleasure drive that are
not current East Aurora Driving Society members.
Enclosed are release and entry forms.
