2011

The JEFFREY KOHLER Carriage Driving Clinic was held  on May 14 & 15 from 8am -5pm at The Meadows on Two Rod Road, East Aurora.  Jeff Kohler from Ontario, Canada is an experienced competitor, trainer and popular clincian. The individually tailored lessons were filled both days - and participants included several young junior drivers, as well as novice through experienced drivers.  

Two Clinic Scholarships were awarded. Our congratulations to The 2011 Recipients: Diane Henry of Hamburg,NY and  Barbara Hager of Collins, NY.

Participant feedback has been very postive. Whether a first time driver - or an experienced competitor - each driver found their lesson rewarding. Jeff was very willing to answer questions, address individual needs, and even help first timers with harnessing. With unseasonably cold, rainy weather both days - the dry indoor arena with excellent footing for the carriages, was very much appreciated by participants, spectators, and equines alike!   Our sincere appreciation to The Meadows managment.  

The Saturday Evening Particpant's dinner at Tantalus Restaurant in East Aurora was a delicious success. The banquet room, food and company made for a great evening. Our sincere thanks to the management !

June 2010   THE MUFFY   SEATON  CLINIC    
For the second year in a row- Sixteen lessons were given by prominent carriage driving clinician, Muffy Seaton, over the course of the two-day pleasure driving clinic sponsored by the East Aurora Driving Society. Held at Firemen's Field, East Aurora, the clinic featured individualized instruction tailored to the needs of each student and their horse. A dinner was held on Saturday evening for participants; and Ms. Seaton answered questions during the discussion period that followed. Also attending were the 2010 Scholarship Recipients: Shelby Heinbuch, Travis Place and Don Yocum.
